Taurine

Taurine can be installed on compatible iPhones and iPads running iOS 14.0–14.8.1. You can use TrollStore, AltStore or another compatible IPA sideloading method.

Installation steps:

1. Open Settings → General → About on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Check your device model and installed iOS version.
3. Make sure your device supports Taurine Jailbreak.
4. Open Safari and visit the Taurine download page.
5. Download Taurine v1.1.7-3 IPA.
6. Save the downloaded IPA file to your device or computer.
7. Open TrollStore or AltStore.
8. Select the downloaded Taurine IPA file.
9. Follow the installation instructions.
10. Open Taurine from your iPhone Home Screen.
11. Tap Jailbreak to begin the jailbreak process.
12. Follow the on-screen instructions and allow the device to complete the required restart.
13. Once the jailbreak is successful, open Sileo and allow its repositories to load.

How to install Taurine without a computer

If TrollStore is already installed on your compatible iPhone, you can download the Taurine IPA and install it directly through TrollStore.

The jailbreak process itself runs on your device.

How to re-jailbreak after restarting

Taurine is semi-untethered. After restarting your device, open Taurine and tap Jailbreak again.

You normally do not need to reinstall the IPA or reconnect to a computer, provided the app remains available.

Important: If you already use unc0ver, checkra1n or another jailbreak, follow the appropriate removal instructions before switching to Taurine. Never install two incompatible jailbreak environments together.

Taurine supports iPhone and iPad devices running iOS or iPadOS 14.0–14.8.1.

The latest releases expanded compatibility beyond the original iOS 14.0–14.3 range.

Unsupported devices and versions

Taurine does not support iPhone 13 or newer models, because those devices were released with iOS 15 or later.

Taurine also does not provide jailbreak support for iOS 15, iOS 16, iOS 17, iOS 18, iOS 26 or iOS 27.

Compatibility note: The latest Taurine releases support the iOS 14.0–14.8.1 range, but some models may experience jailbreak reliability problems. Always check the exact device and firmware before installation.

If Taurine is not installing or the jailbreak process fails, try these simple checks.

Taurine IPA Is Not Installing

Make sure your IPA file downloaded completely. Check that TrollStore, AltStore or your selected IPA installation tool supports your device and iOS version.

Taurine App Is Not Opening

Check whether the app's signing certificate has expired. If you used AltStore, refresh the application or reinstall Taurine using a compatible method.

Taurine Says Unsupported

Open Settings → General → About and confirm your iOS version. Taurine supports iOS 14.0–14.8.1 and cannot jailbreak iOS 15 or later.

Jailbreak Process Keeps Failing

Restart your iPhone and try again. Some versions may experience exploit failures or require multiple attempts. Make sure you are using a compatible Taurine release.

Taurine Stuck During Jailbreak

Allow the process to finish if it is still responding. If the app reports an error, check the message and follow the developer's instructions.

Sileo Is Not Opening

Confirm that Taurine completed the jailbreak. After restarting your iPhone, reactivate Taurine before opening Sileo again.

Sileo Repositories Are Not Loading

Check your internet connection and reopen Sileo. Refresh the sources and make sure the repository addresses are correct.

Jailbreak Tweaks Are Not Working

Check that each tweak supports iOS 14 and Taurine. Some packages were designed for other jailbreak environments and may not work correctly.

iPhone Freezes After Installing a Tweak

An incompatible tweak may be responsible. Use the jailbreak's available recovery options to disable tweaks and remove the last installed package.

Taurine Not Working After Restart

Open the Taurine app and activate the jailbreak again. If the app does not open, check whether its signature has expired.

Error After Switching From unc0ver

Taurine and unc0ver use different jailbreak environments. Follow the recommended Restore RootFS or removal process for your previous jailbreak before switching.

iPhone X Jailbreak Problems

Make sure you are using a recent Taurine release. Earlier versions experienced A11 compatibility issues that were addressed in later updates.
