Tendie Maker

Tendie Maker can be installed using a compatible iPhone IPA signing tool.

The official application is distributed as an unsigned IPA. A jailbreak is not required to create and export animated wallpapers.

How to install Tendie Maker IPA

1. Open Settings → General → About on your iPhone.
2. Check your current iOS version and device model.
3. Visit the official Tendie Maker GitHub repository.
4. Open the Releases section.
5. Select Tendie Maker v1.0.8.
6. Download the unsigned IPA from the release assets.
7. Save the file to your iPhone or computer.
8. Open a compatible signing tool such as AltStore, SideStore, ESign or BuildBox.

How to create animated wallpapers with Tendie Maker

1. Open Tendie Maker.
2. Tap Pick Video.
3. Select a video from your photo library.
4. Choose one of the three layout modes: Cover, Fit or Native.
5. Enter a name for your wallpaper.
6. Choose your preferred animation or loop settings.
7. Select 0.5×, 1× or 2× playback speed.
8. Open the Viewer or wallpaper preview.
9. Check how the animation looks on the screen.
10. Make any necessary adjustments.
11. Tap Build Tendie.
12. Wait until the wallpaper package is generated.
13. Open the iOS Share Sheet.
14. Select Save to Files.
15. Save the generated .tendies package to a folder you can easily find.

How to install the wallpaper using AirCard

1. Confirm that AirCard supports your exact iOS version.
2. Back up your device before making any system changes.
3. Install and open a compatible AirCard version.
4. Find its wallpaper or .tendies import section.
5. Select the wallpaper generated by Tendie Maker.
6. Review the wallpaper package and available preview.
7. Follow AirCard's supported application procedure.
8. Restart or refresh the wallpaper interface only if the tool instructs you to.
9. Open the iPhone Lock Screen wallpaper picker to look for the installed wallpaper.

Applying a wallpaper through AirCard is separate from creating it in Tendie Maker.

How to import an existing .tendies wallpaper

1. Open the Files app.
2. Locate a .tendies file.
3. Tap Share.
4. Select TendieMaker if it appears in the Share Sheet.
5. Open the imported wallpaper in the Viewer.
6. Check the animation and package information.

How to install Tendie Maker using AltStore

Download the unsigned IPA, open AltStore, select My Apps and tap the plus button.

Choose the IPA and complete installation using your configured Apple Account signing method.

Apps signed with a free Apple Account generally require refreshing every seven days.

How to install Tendie Maker without a computer

A compatible on-device signing tool such as ESign or BuildBox may install the IPA if you already have the required signing configuration.

Important safety advice

Creating a .tendies package is not the same as changing iOS system files.

However, applying custom PosterBoard wallpapers with experimental tools can cause respring loops or other problems.

Use short videos, avoid unnecessarily large packages and keep a backup before applying anything.

If Tendie Maker is not installing, creating wallpapers or exporting .tendies files, try the following fixes.

Tendie Maker IPA Is Not Installing

The official IPA is unsigned. Sign it using AltStore, SideStore, ESign, BuildBox or another compatible method.

Tendie Maker Is Not Opening

Check whether the application's signing certificate has expired or the IPA was signed incorrectly.

Tendie Maker Cannot Access Videos

Open iPhone Settings and review the Photos permission for Tendie Maker.

Allow access to the video you want to use.

Pick Video Is Not Working

Confirm that the video is stored locally and can be opened normally in Photos.

Video Cannot Be Converted

The selected file may use an unsupported format or contain damaged frames.

Try another compatible video.

Wallpaper Build Takes Too Long

Long or high-resolution videos require more processing.

Try trimming the video or using a shorter clip.

Tendie Maker Crashes During Conversion

The source video may require too much memory.

Try reducing the video length or resolution.

Wallpaper Is Cropped

Cover mode fills the available screen area and may crop part of the video.

Choose Fit if you want to keep the entire image visible.

Wallpaper Has Empty Borders

Fit mode preserves the entire video frame and may leave unused space when the aspect ratio differs.

Try Cover mode for a full-screen result.

Native Mode Looks Different

Native mode keeps the original dimensions, so the result may not fill the iPhone screen.

Preview Does Not Match the Wallpaper

Update to v1.0.8, which introduces a more accurate preview for Cover, Fit and Native modes.

Playback Speed Is Not Changing

Check that you are using v1.0.8 and that the selected speed is applied before building.

Ping-Pong Loop Looks Incorrect

Review the source video and preview the loop again.

Some clips have noticeable changes when playback direction reverses.

.tendies File Is Not Exporting

Check the available device storage and whether the Share Sheet opens correctly.

Save to Files Is Missing

Open the Share Sheet and review the available actions.

Make sure Files is available as a save destination.

Import from Files Is Not Working

Version 1.0.8 adds support for importing .tendies files through Share → TendieMaker.

Check the extension and confirm the file is not damaged.

Viewer Freezes When Opening a Wallpaper

Older releases had issues with damaged or incomplete files.

The developer addressed these problems in v1.0.0, but corrupted packages may still fail.

Wallpaper Is Not Appearing on the Lock Screen

Tendie Maker only creates the file.

Import the exported .tendies into a compatible wallpaper installation tool.

AirCard Cannot Apply the Wallpaper

Check whether AirCard supports your exact iOS version.

Do not assume that an app successfully opening means its wallpaper-writing method works.

Wallpaper Causes a Respring Loop

Some users have reported repeated SpringBoard restarts after applying large .tendies files.

Stop retrying the same package. Follow the wallpaper tool's documented recovery procedure and restore from backup if necessary.

Wallpaper Works but Uses More Battery

Animated wallpapers can require more processing than static images.

Shorter animations may reduce the workload.

Wallpaper Looks Blurry

Use a higher-quality source video and review the scaling mode.

The original video resolution limits the exported result.

Tendie Maker Is Not Working on iOS 27

Separate the problem into two parts: whether Tendie Maker creates the file, and whether your selected wallpaper installer can apply it.
