The Bootstrap semi- jailbreak developed by Roothide released Bootstrap Version 1.2.1. This version is compatible with iOS 17 - iOS 14 and also compatible with latest device models(A9 – A16, M1, M2, and possibly A17).

The important points of this jailbreak tool are being able to get jailbreak tweaks and apps for Non - jailbreak devices and It is required to install Bootstrap by Roothide in addition to trollstore or trollstore 2.

Bootstrap Step guide

  • Step 01 - Install Trollstore2.
  • Step 02 - Download Bootstrap IPA from the above link.
  • Step 03 - Open Trollstore 2 and import Bootsrap IPA to Trollstore2.
  • Step 04 - Continue with the installation process.
  • Step 05 - Open settings app and go to Privacy & security.
  • Step 06 - Go to developer settings in settings app.
  • Step 07 - Connect your iPhone to Mac or PC > Turn on developer mode.
  • Step 08 - Finally open bootstrap from your home screen.

The Bootstrap Repo is now out to the public, and any one can build it and test it. A public IPA will not be released until the UI for iOS 17 on A15+ has been built and fixed.

Bootstrap allows users to apply tweaks to all apps, but it's now lacking with springboard tweaks, such as changing the Homescreen, Lock screen, control center or status bar. But you can install apps and jailbreak tweaks with Bootstrap jailbreak.

All tweaks are not compatible with Bootstrap semi jailbreak. A “not updated” tweak indicates that an update is necessary for the change to work with bootstrap. Installing the patcher via Zebra or Sileo package managers that are compatible with Roothide’s Bootstrap will fix it.

When you are trying to install tweaks choose “convert”. Choose the patcher app from the resulting sharing sheet. When converting a modification to make it Bootstrap compatible, you can use the rootless compact layer or simply convert simple tweaks. If a change does not convert easily using a direct method, try the rootless compact layer. This process requires rootless compact to be installed as a resource.
